Plan License & Terms

These terms explain what a plan-set purchase includes, how the drawings may be used, and which project responsibilities remain with the purchaser.

1. Agreement

By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using a Stonegate plan set, the purchaser agrees to these terms. If the purchaser is buying for another person or entity, the purchaser confirms authority to accept these terms for that party.

2. One-build license

After full payment, Stonegate Construction Inc. grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased plan set to construct one dwelling at one project address. A second build, mirror-image reuse, subdivision use, speculative reuse, or construction at another address requires a separate written license.

3. Permitted sharing

The purchaser may provide necessary copies to the project's builder, subcontractors, architect, engineer, lender, and permitting officials solely for the licensed build. The purchaser must not resell, publish, post, distribute, sublicense, or use the files to create competing plan products.

4. Copyright and ownership

Purchasing a plan set does not transfer copyright or ownership of the drawings or design. All rights not expressly granted remain with the applicable copyright owner. Copyright notices and title blocks may not be removed.

5. Local adaptation and professional review

Stock plans are not site-specific. The purchaser is responsible for confirming site conditions, surveys, setbacks, easements, soils, grading, drainage, wind, snow, seismic, energy, fire, and other local requirements. Before construction, the purchaser must engage properly licensed local professionals where required and obtain all permits, engineering, seals, approvals, and code adaptations.

6. Construction use

Contractors must verify dimensions, conditions, and conflicts before work begins. Written dimensions control; drawings must not be scaled. The purchaser, builder, and project professionals remain responsible for construction means, methods, sequencing, safety, and compliance.

7. Modifications

Modifications are not included unless stated in a separate written proposal. Changes made by others do not transfer responsibility for those changes to Stonegate Construction Inc. A modified plan remains subject to the original one-build restriction unless a separate license states otherwise.

8. Digital delivery and refunds

Digital products are generally non-returnable after download or file access. If files are incomplete, corrupt, or materially different from the purchased product description, the purchaser should email ben@stonegate-construction.com. Refunds remain subject to applicable law and the checkout provider's policies.

9. Disclaimer and limitation

Except for express written commitments, plan sets are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, Stonegate Construction Inc. disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Any direct liability arising from the purchased plan set will not exceed the amount paid for that plan set. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

10. Governing law and severability

These terms are governed by Georgia law, without regard to conflict-of- law rules. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Any waiver or expanded license must be in writing.
